A weekend of Date 25th November is when the well hyped event went down, but wait, did the event showers fell as expected?
This event which was hosted by coast based Tiktoker Supper Comedian ‘Magwaya Ndani ‘ seemed to fall short of fans and Artists expectations.
Here are some of the reasons why many music stakeholders thinks it could have been one of the key reasons for that event falling short!
1) The theme sounded unclear to the fans with questions piling up few days to the Date of the event.
According to fans, #GoneStars was translucent with whether the event was to honour stars who ‘rested in Peace’ or legend artists who hit the music airwaves back in the days.
Despite the media tours by the event organisers and featured artists, that seemed not enough to beat and clear the many questions few days to the event.
2) Host’s Influence to the Mombasa Music showbiz.
Magwaya Ndani is a tiktok Commedian who is doing very well in his ‘Hallo Babu’ Content but is that enough to host an event for music artists?
Fans claimed Magwaya came too early for such events and instead they advise him to first work and hold grip to the Mombasa & comedy industry before ‘jumping’ to the much effort demanding competitive Mombasa music industry.
3) Idea Conflict!
There are two events which have similarities in one way or the other.
Magwaya claimed to give birth to the initial ‘Zama Zao’ idea but instead, claimed to have been ignored on the table of implementors and that forced him to do it on his own way.
However by the looks of things, it seemed fans were onto the initial theme of the event which will happen on December than the 25th one which already went down.
4) Artists featured on the event in comparison with the theme.
Majority if not all of the artists invited are ‘young blood’. This failed to communicate well on the theme unlike the other events coming up which includes the music ‘Legends’
This were just a few of many reasons which fans, artists and other stakeholders claimed to have contributed that.
