Football is one of the world’s oldest sports, with records reaching back over 2000 years in China.

Greece, Rome, and parts of Central America have all claimed to have started this sport, and with such a long history, it is only natural that there are some very crazy interesting football facts that any fan would like to know.

It is commonly believed that England was the country that transformed football into the sport we know today.

The English are also credited with establishing the first set of uniform regulations for the game, which prohibits tripping opponents and touching the ball with hands (with the obvious exception of the goalkeeper)

On September 12, 2016, SV Vonderort‘s second squad in the German C League set a new record by allowing 43 goals in a single football match.

Marco Kwiotek, the 25-year-old goalie who gave up the most goals, was detained by police during a training session after his team, SV Vonderort, was defeated by PSV Oberhausen.

In the match versus PSV Oberhausen he conceded every two minutes.

He now holds the world record for allowing a goal every two minutes in football history.

After being thrashed by their opponent, the SV Vonderort team, which included refugees from Syria, Iraq, and Guinea, grabbed headlines.

“I’m going to the police station merely to clarify a matter,” Kwiotek stated as he was brought off the pitch.

He has not been heard from since he left with the police officers, and his phone has been disconnected.

Following the 43-0 loss, SV Vonderort was defeated 8-0 by Batenbrocker Ruhrpott Kicker, a third team, in a game played with a different goalkeeper.
