POLICE DISCOVER 129 BHANG PLANTS IN A SIX BEDROOM HOUSE IN ELDORET.

On Tuesday July 5, police in Eldoret town raided a 6-bedroom house in Elgon view Estate and discovered it was converted into a greenhouse for farming bang.

A total of 129 plants was discovered; 68 in the sitting room, 21 in the main bedroom,14 in the dinning room and 26 in an iron sheet wallet house in the same compound.

“All the plants were uprooted after having been documented by DCI Scenes of Crime personnel, the plants weighed 33.5 Kgs with a street value of about one million Kenya Shillings,” police said.

The police also found some documents that belong to one Kipchumba Michael Kibet who is the main suspect.These include an Identical Card number 27883026, a KCSE result slip, a Moi University clearance report dated 22/8/2020 and a payment slip for some chemicals he had bought.

Residents identified him as the owner of the house through some of his photos after police raided the house. They also revealed that he disappears for a while before resurfacing.

Investigations are still going as the police are on the hunt for him. Kenyans should keep in mind that bhang is still illegal in Kenya.
