Person Living With Disability Wants To Be Enjoined In Presidential Petition

The Country National Chairperson of Inua Mlemavu Organization Michael Mutembei alias Makarina has filed an application seeking to be enjoined in the presidential petition.

Under the certificate of urgency as an intended interested party, the Inua Mlemavu Organisation seeks to support the petition filed by Azimio la Umoja Kenya one Presidential candidate and former prime minister,  claiming there was massive fraud in the concluded just concluded general election, where he alleged that he was robbed victory.

The Inua Mlemavu Organisation advocates for the rights of persons living with disabilities across the  Country.

Through Lawyer Danstan Omari, the applicant complained that the election was unfairly conducted since a majority of its members were unable to access various polling stations during the voting exercise.


The applicant is now pleading with the  Supreme Court judges to humbly consider his application as an interested party with urgency, and allow him to fully participate in the full hearing of the petition on behalf of the persons living with disabilities.


The petition pre-trial conference is set for Tuesday 30th Sep at the Milimani laws courts. Omari insists that there will be no prejudice should his client be enjoined in the petition.

Makarina in his application also noted that persons living with disabilities went through a lot before before event being even voters.

He also claims IEBC has been intentionally failing to deploy sign languages instructors in poling stations, forcing them to discredit the process as the most unfairly conducted, undemocratic, biased and against their Constitutional rights as enshrined in the Country new 2010 Constitution.
