Hilton Hotel will close down its CBD operation on 31st December 2022. This is a move that will anger a good number of Kenyans due to the fact that this is partly a parastatal. Hilton Kenya is 40.7% owned by the government.
Parastatals have been having a hard time remaining afloat in Kenya since the first Covid 19 case was reported.
“Following extensive consultations with hotel ownership, Hilton Nairobi will close its doors for the last time on 31st December 2022.”
Hilton Hotel, Intercontinental, sunset hotel Kisumu, Golf Hotel, Mt. Elgon Lodge, Kabarnet Hotel, Mombasa Beach Hotel, Ngulia, and Voi Safari Lodges are all under Kenya Safari Lodges and Hotels Ltd- a government parastatal.
